About Jenson Mak
Dr Jenson Mak, widely known as ‘The Run Doc’, is a healthy ageing and longevity specialist who transformed his life and practice through the power of movement. Once nicknamed ‘The Fat Doc’, Jenson stood on the precipice of unhealth: battling high blood pressure, insomnia, work stress, and mental health challenges. But the turning point came when he realised that if he didn’t make a change, he risked missing out on life’s most precious moments, those shared with his three young children.
Determined to show up fully for his family, Jenson began running. What started as a desperate sprint toward better health evolved into a lifelong journey of purpose, vitality, and scientific discovery. He went on to become one of the first to achieve Level 3 Performance Development Coach accreditation with Athletics Australia, spanning road, trail, and ultra disciplines. He is also a certified Primal Health Coach, clinical researcher, senior lecturer in clinical medicine, and a Justice of the Peace.
Blending science, soul, and stride, Jenson brings a unique perspective to the conversation around longevity. His lived experience, paired with insights from over 10,000 patients and many more coaching encounters, makes him a trusted voice in healthy ageing. Off the trails, he enjoys singing karaoke classics and diving deep into books on psychology, always chasing the harmony between mind, body, and meaning.
