We usually publish books within 6-12 months.. If you have a big event or need your book in a hurry, you can speak to us about our fast-track options.

It depends on what you need. Our author coaches are trained to take the workload off you. All you have to do is work with us to obtain a first draft, or supply us with a first draft. It’s really an easy process with the right help.

We sure do!

With the right marketing campaign and advice, there is a high chance that we can help you obtain bestselling status. We do not guarantee it, but we have had many bestselling books.

Absolutely.

Yes, we do both. Check out some of our awesome audio-books.

Yes, we provide an online launch and a 6-week marketing campaign. We also help you create marketing initiatives to maximise sales and exposure. We post you all over our social media channels and have a dedicated author page on our website.

Sure do. Our design team will work with you to create a cover you love. We also educate and guide you on the industry standards so your book will look and be professional.

We work closely with book distributors and obtain online distribution from thousands of book retailers around the world such as Dymocks, Angus and Robertson, Amazon, Booktopia, Fishpond, Waterstones, Barnes and Noble, Book Depository, Indigo, WH Smith, Bokus and more.

Some books will. There is a big process for getting your book into bookstores and book distributors get the final say. We will always discuss your book distribution options during the publishing process. We have authors who walk into local bookstores and introduce themselves and do a signing, we have authors who work with PR agents for stocking books and book signings.

We offer our professional recommendations for each book and each country’s price point, but the final pricing decision is yours.

We take plagiarism seriously and run all books (twice) through a plagiarism software program to ensure the work is original and not plagiarized. We can also help you rewrite, cite and obtain publishing permissions so your work will always meet correct and ethical publishing practices.

Oui. Si. Ja. We can get your book translated into almost any language.

The cost depends on:

  • The size of your book (trim size & page count)
  • The type of print (black & white or colour, hardcover or paperback)
  • How many books you order at once

We can organise:

  • Print on Demand (POD): Order single copies as needed.
  • Bulk print runs: As little as 100+ copies at a much lower unit cost.

This depends on the distribution channel. Here’s a snapshot:

  • Amazon eBooks: 35%–70% of the list price (after delivery cost).
  • Amazon paperbacks: 60% of list price minus print cost (40% if using Expanded Distribution).
  • Ingram (bookstores & libraries): About 53–55% wholesale discount, minus print cost.
  • Simon & Schuster (Australia): Approx. 40% of retail price, then 65% of that figure (with a small portion held for 12 months).
  • Audiobooks (Findaway Voices): Authors keep 80% of royalties across most platforms, and 100% on Spotify.

Dean Publishing does not take a commission on royalties. You receive them directly through your own accounts, or we can manage payouts for you.

You do. You’ll own the full copyright to your book and all related files. We hold production files (formatted manuscript, print-ready cover) for quality control and bulk printing access, but you’ll receive all marketing graphics and final book PDFs.

Dean Publishing acts as your representative (similar to a literary agent) and submits eligible books to Simon & Schuster for distribution. This is best suited for books with broader appeal (not too niche) and authors willing to support their launch with large marketing campaigns, PR, and bulk print runs.
