What is your book called and what is it about?
A Reason to Rise: Overcome Adversity and Awaken Your Power is the story behind the story – the wisdom, the fire, and the raw, unfiltered truths that have shaped my journey, from breaking generational cycles to building a purpose-led mission that gives me the abundant free life I’ve dreamed of!

Tell us more about you?
I’m Nadine Muller – a life and business mentor, ex-military registered nurse, health and fitness professional, wife, mama to my two little legends, Madden and Beckham (plus two angels in heaven!), and a leader on a serious purpose-led mission to AWAKEN the willing. I bravely walked away from a ‘safe and secure’ military career to create a life living out what I was really here to do and serve, in other words my true Ikagai. This led me to direct and found one of Australia’s most renowned (and globally recognised) personal and professional development companies, which is now a multi-7-figure company titled Nadine Muller Coaching and Mentoring. There are also a number of sub-chains and businesses within it, like Heart Led Warriors (our men’s work company) and our sought after Couples Work. This is an omnidirectional and heart-led company of absolute freedom, not just for myself but for every single person who steps into my world through retreats, coaching or my book. Everything I do is built on one thing – helping others break cycles, find their true happiness, joy, purpose and fulfillment, build generational wealth, and live in full alignment to their core values.

Let us get to know you a little better by answering these quickfire questions:
What is your favourite quote?
“You were born to disrupt, to rise, to leave a legacy – so stop waiting for permission.”

What is your favourite book?
Apart from my own, of course, I love Glennon Doyle’s Untamed. It’s a must read for all women!

What is your favourite podcast at the moment?
I love the Mel Robbins Podcast. Although I’m a student of life, so I’m always looking for anything that expands my mind. Someone who speaks to high-level entrepreneurs and leaders who are unapologetically going after more and defying limits and odds and breaking glass ceilings, doing things on their own terms and pursuing and pioneering new ways.

Who is your role model?
I don’t have just one. I study the greats. Those who have built legacies, broken cycles, and led with impact. People who move differently.

Who in your life has inspired you the most and why?
My mum. She didn’t have an easy road, and yet she never gave up. She showed me resilience, sacrifice, and what it means to rewrite your own story. She is one of the countless reasons I rose and fought to create a different life – not just for myself, but for the generations before me and the generations after me. My bloodline lineage and heritage have waited millennia for someone to change the story!

What is your coffee order?
I actually don’t drink much coffee at all. I do love going out for coffee or having a barista-made coffee when I’m out for breakfast, though honestly I can’t say I’m a coffee snob or drinker! In my former life as an emergency registered nurse, I could drink up to seven cups of coffee in one shift, but those days are long gone!

Pet peeves?
‘GUNNA DO’ people. These are the people who never move from ‘going to do’ to ‘doing’ to ‘done’. Nothing happens when you’re just thinking about doing something one day!

What inspired you to write this book?
This book was a soul contract calling for me. A Reason to Rise is the book I wish I had when I was going through my dark night of the soul and facing a cascade of events at once, feeling like I was the glue keeping everything around me together! I wrote it for the ones who know they’re meant for more though they feel like they’re still in the fire. This book is your reminder that everything you need is already within you – you just have to rise, claim it and become the person you get to become in order to surpass it, overcome it and grow from it!

How did you find the process of writing and publishing your book?
Brutal, beautiful, messy, magic and everything in between. Writing this book was like ripping my chest open and pouring my soul onto the pages, knowing what it was going to mean for others reading it. Every chapter holds a piece of me – my wins, my failures, my lessons, and my breakthroughs – and it’s now out there walking boldly outside of my heart for the world to learn from! It’s truly a legacy piece and I couldn’t be more proud.

What surprised you most about the writing process?
How freaking cathartic and healing an author’s experience can be! I thought I was writing this book to serve others, though in the process I realised I was also closing my own loops. Revisiting some of the hardest moments of my life and putting them into words forced me to see how far I’ve come. I also had big losses that were happening as I was writing the book. It really is a testament to real life and what can happen no matter what your best laid plans are! And the biggest surprise? The ripple effect – seeing how deeply this book is already impacting people’s lives. I get messages everyday and this book truly has its own heartbeat!

What do you hope the reader gets from reading this book?
A big wake up call – a remembering of who the f they are! A visceral reminder that their next level is right here. This book is designed to shake you, shift you, and activate you into action. I want readers to walk away knowing they are fully capable of rewriting their story, breaking the damn cycles, and stepping into the version of themselves they were always meant to be, and most importantly, living out the life they want – how they want, with whom they want, WHEREVER AND HOWEVER they want! Everyone has the right to freedom!

What advice would you give to someone who wants to write a book but doesn’t know how?
Just start. Rome wasn’t built in a day and nor are books! Don’t overthink it, don’t wait until you ‘feel ready’ and definitely don’t let the fear of what others may think stop you. Your story, your wisdom, your voice – someone out there needs it. Write the way you speak, write like you’re talking to the person who’s a few steps behind you, and don’t aim for perfect – aim for real. The world doesn’t need another cookie-cutter book. It needs YOUR book. Get help in your corner, hire people who are going to be with you every step of the way (like I did), learn, learn, learn, connect with other authors, and GO ALL IN!
